History

Seismic Surveys, Inc. was founded in 2001 by its current Owners, David and Elena Miller. The company has grown from four employees to more than 15 employees since inception.

David Miller has a BS Degree in Geology from the University of Maryland and is a licensed Professional Geologist in the Commonwealths of Pennsylvania and Virginia and the States of Florida and New York.  He also is a certified Residential Building Inspector through the International Code Council.  David started his career as an Engineering Geologist working for Geotechnical Engineering firms in Northern Virginia in 1986.  He has specialized in Blasting Seismology since 1989.

Elena Miller has a BA degree in Management from Hood College.  She worked in retail management for 15 years prior to the founding of Seismic Surveys, Inc.

Seismic Surveys, Inc. has conducted many high-profile projects since its inception.  Some of these challenging projects include the implosion of Veteran’s Stadium, the Inter-County Connector, the Wilson Bridge, The Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool Reconstruction, and the Smithsonian Institution’s National Museum of African American History and Culture.
