Seismic Surveys, LLC (“Seismic Surveys”) is excited to announce its recent acquisition by Argus Monitoring Solutions Holdings, LLC (“Argus Monitoring Solutions” or “Argus”). Benford Capital Partners (“BCP”), a Chicago-based private equity firm, formed Argus in October 2021 as a holding company of market-leading testing and measurement services and equipment companies in the seismic and environmental monitoring industries. The initial investments under Argus were Sauls Seismic, LLC (“Sauls”) and Nomis Seismographs, LLC (“Nomis”).
Founded in 2001 and headquartered in Frederick, MD, Seismic Surveys is a leading provider of infrastructure-related consulting inspection services and seismic and environmental monitoring services. Seismic Surveys will continue to be led by David Miller, P.G. (President and Co-Founder), Patrick Hastings, Jr., P.G. (VP of Operations), and Eric Rehwoldt, P.E., P.G. (VP of Engineering).
We are thrilled to partner with Argus Monitoring Solutions on Seismic Surveys’ next phase of growth,” commented David and Elena Miller, co-founders of Seismic Surveys. “We partnered with Argus due to its commitment to back the existing Seismic Surveys team and culture and the unique opportunity to pair Seismic Surveys with a growing platform focused on seismic and environmental monitoring services.”
“The acquisition of Seismic Surveys is highly complementary to Sauls and Nomis under the Argus platform. We are excited to supplement Argus’ diverse monitoring and inspection services offerings and expand its footprint across the Mid-Atlantic, East Coast, and Sun Belt regions,” commented Cormac Kelly, CXO of Argus Monitoring Solutions. “We look forward to investing additional resources to help drive the companies’ organic growth and serve our customers with state-of-the-art technology in the years ahead.
